Hotel Inverrary Vacation Resort

251

Awful, Do NOT stay here

unhappy vacationer Verified Customer Feb 23, 2010 Hotel was not in a good area. Comes off as a nice golf resort but was far from it. Was given a room that was not what we had ... paid for (given room with 2 doubles instead of 1 king). Bathroom was not clean, there was dried urine on the toilet seat. When you used the sink it made extremely loud noises. Only one elevator worked and it took forever. Wall were extremely thin and could hear everything. Was woken up in the morning to the very loud noise of maids vacuuming in hallway. We almost didn't stay the second night because this hotel was so awful. Don't stay here, there is nothing resort about this place.

A traveler from Atlanta, GA does not recommend this hotel

Posted: 13-Jan-10
What was I thinking?
First, when I was checking in someone was complaining about the $15 a day resort fee. I went to my room and I will say they are clean and have a decent size. However, the elevators didn’t work, we could barely get clean towels, and they refused to accomodate anyone for having the elevators broken. Also the vending machine was broken on our floor which sucked. The lady at the front desk has the worst attitude and the manager refused to speak to anyone. Everytime I was at the desk someone was complaining about the hotel and wanted their money back. The location of the hotel was ok, a little boring but still ok. The golf course looks nothing like it does in the picture - it is way smaller. Overall I hated this hotel and couldn’t wait to get out of their. Oh and no hot water for two days! The list goes on and on - u r better off at a motel 6.

Anonymous from Battle Creek, MI – Wouldn't stay again
Stayed Feb 2008, 4 daysClose Full Review >Within the first 2 minutes of checking in at the front desk, I was told to remove our GPS because theifs like to break in and steal them. So, I told my husband and we did remove our GPS and anything else that was of value from our minivan. The horror of our stay began the very next morning, 12 hours after we arrived in Fort Lauderdale, we were awaken by staff that our minivan was broken into! Me and my husband ran out to the parking lot to find the driver's side window totally broken out and glass everywhere and our XM radio receiver which was permanently installed was ripped out and stolen, they viciously tore out the paneling around the entire stereo and destroyed our stereo and left it, just to get to the XM receiver. I was surprised that they did not take the over 20 DVD's I had in the minivan because they were worth more together than our stupid XM receiver. We drove 19 hrs. from Michigan to Ft. Lauderdale for my brother-in-laws wedding with our 3 kids. No staff at the hotel from managers on down offered any sympathy or support or our money back. Needless to say, we were not the only people who had their vehicles vandalized and things stolen. The night before we left 4 cars in the parking lot were broken into!! From the police officer to the clerk in Circuit City, my husband ran into a dozen of Fort Lauderdale citizens who hated living there and wanted to leave because of all the break-ins and theivery that seems to be looked at as normal. We joyfully left the hotel and the Ft. Lauderdale area and we will never be back and are telling everyone we can to STAY
